That guy is clearly an idiot but given the choice, I would rather deal with British police than any other police force in the world. Pepper spray springs to mind.

Pigs get upset if you film them. You should film every encounter with the uk police until they get used to it.
When dealing with police remember you don't have to talk to them if you don't want to. If they try to stop you always ask "AM I BEING DETAINED?" They'll know that you know the law right away and probably back off. Ask "AM I FREE TO GO?" Then go. Carry on filming from a distance if they're harassing anyone else.
If they say no, you're not free to go they have to tell you what law you're accused of breaking (probably some silly little statute or regulation pretending to be a law) and explain to you their grounds for "reasonable intelligible suspicion". Demand this information right away and put them on the spot. Don't give them the chance to dream it up on their way back to the nick with you handcuffed in the back.
Don't resist physically but remember...

- UNDER WHAT LAW?
- WHAT IS YOUR GROUNDS FOR SUSPECTING ME?
And obviously don't tell them ANYTHING, no matter how innocuous. Make them answer your questions or keep your mouth shut. KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. 90% of people incriminate themselves, and these aren't all idiots. You need to stay strong, fold your arms and wait. If they haven't charged you already they probably need you to say something to get the goods on you, so KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!!!
