Italy's temporary technocracy?

So, for a few months Italy will be run by it's civil service, ostensibly selecting leadership in the same way they would promote or employ someone with the best technical skills.

Of course without democratic oversight it would probably devolve into a dictatorship, for a short period however corruptive forces don't have the time to maneuvre and spoil the system. How do you think this will work out? What can be learned?

Russia! I've brought some tea for you!

Democracy is a terrible system, I'm all for a technocratic dictatorship.

The problem is it will stop being technocratic once it becomes a dictatorship. If there was a way to keep the democratic oversight without the democratic selection of leadership that would be ideal.

Don't change these.
