Say NO to 70 Million

Name: Anonymous 2011-11-02 14:52

The UK population is now expected to hit 70 million in only 16 years. Two thirds of the increase will be due to immigration - that is 5 million or five times the present population of Birmingham.

The impact on our public services, our environment and our society will be huge.

Indeed, we will actually have public services because it's not the British that fill posts for public school teachers, nurses, bus drivers and street cleaners.

Also, please stop getting your figures from the daily mail as they do not accept that anyone leaves the country and only count people who have entered. But who cares about facts as long as we get sensationalist headlines.

It's irrational to assume that the impact will be huge, services expand as population increases.
And to expand slightly on what >>2 said, we have a lot of expatriates, but you're not taking into account that immigrants still contribute to the economy in terms of spending and taxes - bring up the old card of "oh they send it all home" - they still pay for NI and VAT.

It's funny how leftists complain about weak unions then trip over themselves to open the flood gates for non-unionized immigrants.

With restrictions on overpopulation street cleaners and nurses would have to be paid higher to attract unionized british workers and the working class would get paid a lower-middle class standard minimum wage. Isn't that what you want?

It's not our fault the rest of the world breeds like rabbits, we've already done all we can to help them, by saying "don't overpopulate, use rubbers" once we are under absolutely no obligation to do anything about the poverty outside our borders, we've given them the solution and they're the only ones who can employ it.

Ah, but all the Pakis vote Labour, to keep the dole cheques coming.  And that is the REAL reason Labour has opened the floodgates.

I wouldn't call New Labour "leftist", they're nothing like they used to be. Blair and his cronies pretty much saw to that.

Don't change these.
