What is my Political Ideology?

Name: Anonymous 2011-10-07 11:34

I've tried a few different online tests to figure out what my ideology since none of the parties in my country appeal to me but I find that the question are to topical and thus the responses are weighted poorly. In the end the tests all told me different things as a result. So /pol/ you tell me ok.

I believe in strong centralized unitary government

I believe in secularism to the point of being anti-theist

I believe in gender equality (no double standards anywhere) as long as something that requires an drastic increase in population doesn't happen.

I believe in demand side economics and the cyclical development of government and economies.

I think oppression is a superior form of control than manipulation, the money wasted on making people think they are free in so called democracies could be just as easily spent placating a non-free people.

I think multiculturalism only works with specific combinations of cultures. I don't have a problem with limited immigration but I think my country in particular needs to be more selective on who it lets in. We spend to much money on immigration. If we are having an aging population problem pay us to have children so both parents don't have to work instead of spending billions a year on immigrants.

I think being political correct is alright as long as it is not so extreme you can't talk about problems you have proof are happening.

I think crime prevention is more important than punishment.

I think regulation and taxation are superior methods of handling drug and prostitution related problems.

Defiantly some kind of Centrist, its unfortunate that the centre doesn't get the support it should.

OP fails to understand that that is the purpose and intent of political correctness, and is therefore a lieberal.

I think government power should rest primarily at the local level, and that legislative powers should reside with the people, not with representatives. Managerial positions like mayors or governors would still exist, but they would be subject to strict transparency. The rest should go to a minimal federal government managed by some sort of assembly of the cities who's job is to define and enforce Constitutional laws which all of the local governments should follow. The Constitution would lay down standards in things like labor, health, and transportation, which all cities must follow, regardless if they're developed in a Capitalist or Socialist system, it would regulate how trade to the outside is done, and lay down fundamental rights every person ought to have, like the freedom to move unhindered between each local government's area, and rights to things like privacy and free speech. The army should be limited in size and budget except in war time, which must be declared and renewed explicitly by the central assembly. The Constitution should also define how each local government should function. People should be generally free to do what they want, unless they infringe on the freedom of another to do what they want, but that's my personal opinion, if a city wanted to ban Marijuana, they should be able to. If someone didn't like the law, they could move to another city where the law is more lax.

I believe strongly in secularism as well, forgot to mention that. People should also be guaranteed all of those rights without regard to race, sexual orientation, class, age or anything like that.

your political ideology is cunt.

Pre political correctness democratic socialist seems like, that period in the 70s when it was accepted by the majority of people that racism and sexism is illogical and blacks and women should be treated as equals and were actually treated as equals for a while, you haven't gone into specifics about economic policies and systems of representation but your "anti-theism" resembles it strongly. Ideology is a very subjective thing, maybe you could be better described as as casual liberal or a social democrat or something but all things considered I'd go this.

suggests you're into the federation of city states-sort of thing. Interesting in itself, but not very relevant to what your ideology is for governing one such city-state.
Other than that, sounds quite like the good old Northern European left to me. Keeping the interests of every individual closest to your heart, leaving the market free where you can and collectivising those things that are meant for the collective, such as exercising law. Nothing much revolutionary there, although your attraction to enlightened oppression of the people is a tad out of fashion. Could it be a lack of nuance or a lack of truly thorough documentation? Or perhaps, it's just a beat-up form of the technocratic dictatorship ideal of which so many of us still hope it could work someday?

A social democrat who has finally admitted he hates freedom. Most of you will just say your definition of freedom is different, i.e. everyone has the right to not get offended and the right to other people's money.

The majority of people who'd never seen a nigger except for the photogenic ones they trot out and put on the televitz, that is.  Now forced integration has changed all that.  Contact with real, non-TV-character niggers is highly educational.

They admit that all the time. Just look at the way the freak out when the Tea Party gets in their way and they can't handle Democracy any more.

Kuwait always had an elastic but strong central bank with somewhat quickly reacting monetary policy that has been liberalized over the decades to match the times some conservatives and "sound money" loons would like to see it fall back into the 60's-80's but whatyagonnado

Israel has highly open trade and is generally secular, allowing a vast amount of opinions to be voiced in their government while still maintaining what they think is at least a centuries-old nationalism ever-the-more solidified through warfare, diplomacy, tribal unity and land ties. » Moodsleemeh !!AzATH4B

The American Democratic Party aren't Social Democrats, except for Dennis Kucinich.

Don't change these.
