There will be no more Republicans

FACT: The 20-30 age range votes Democrat at a rate of 2:1.
FACT: Upon aging very few start voting Republican, as Republicans theorized they would do upon paying taxes.

Conservatism is dead. If the 20-30 age range decided the 2008 election, only 3 states would have been Republican majority (Alaska, Texas, and some minor state that doesn't matter). In the 18-22 age range 1 in 4 people have no belief in a deity; Religion is dieing with it.

All while Republicans talk of fixing this issue by becoming more open minded and tolerant, yet they still promote a ban on gay marriage, Cannabis prohibition with even greater punishments that would effect youth the most, worsening punishments for crimes primarily committed by youth (under-age drinking, drug use, misbehaving in school, etc). They are alienating the youth. All of this seems to be in a feeble attempt to create a generation of felons, with the more traditionalist Republican children making up a minority of those felons, in an attempt to rob the Democratic majority of most of their voting power.

Congress talks of taking care of the next generation, yet nearly every action they take is opposed by the next generation.

Soon, these conservatives will witness their empire crumble. Cannabis will be smoked in their face, the power of the police will be reduced, socialist policies will be passed, the Republicans will be a fringe party while the socialist party starts to field some seats in congress, the ties Religion has with the US will be severed, no more "in god we trust" or "one nation under god", the military will be drastically cut in size, textbooks used in public  schools will speak of the incompetence of the current government, gays will be married, etc.

The only drawback is that the new generation won't be conservative enough to execute the current politicians for high treason (what they like to call 'lobbying').

Newsflash: Only 3 states would be Republican if the 20-30 age group had decided the national election.

State's rights? I'd like to see the Republicans (speaking of the majority of the Republicans) supporting Cannabis legalization in any state, because of State's rights. I'd like to see the Republicans end the subsidization of the poorer states (more often Republican) by the wealthier states (more often Democrat). I'd like to see the Republicans allow another state to set their  drinking age (they can BUT they loose 10% highway funding, and read up on what happened when some states tried it anyway, other states and the fed started making threats). I'd like to see the Republicans allow people of their states to hop on over to the nearby Democratic state and get an abortion.

You do realize that the Republicans have usually increased the size of the Federal government, right? Or that modern transportation makes, say, Abortion legality or a lower drinking age in a neighboring state practically legal in the prohibition state. State's rights will only be granted to an extent. They will not allow states anywhere near the power they had when the constitution was drafted, as it undermines their goals. Do they want gay marriage illegal in JUST their state? NO! They want it illegal nation-wide!

We will never have the state's rights envisioned by Ron Paul. Otherwise I see the Northern-Democratic states utilizing their right to secede the next time a depression hits and Texas is out of oil causing them to continue their subsidies of the poorer states during a period where they themselves are poor, or a war unpopular with Democrats is declared. And all states technically have this right, but the Republicans weren't so fond of it during the  Civil War!

Free market? We aren't competitive as a nation anymore, our service sectors are rapidly becoming moved overseas. Minimum wage and the cost of living prevent us from becoming competitive. But I suppose you want us to start working for slave-wages in factories again, that way there will be no need to export jobs. WE CANNOT BECOME SELF SUFFICIENT, EVER, IF THE ENTIRE WORLD WAS TO HAVE THE US'S STANDARD OF LIVING IT WOULD REQUIRE 5-6 MORE EARTHS WORTH OF RESOURCES, WE NEED TOO MANY OUTSIDE RESOURCES, AND OUR WEALTH WAS GAINED THROUGH TRADE AND GLOBALIZATION, FEW AMERICANS WILL ACCEPT LIFE AS A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY SO THEY CAN SAY THEY ARE 'SELF SUFFICIENT'. And FYI Education is a social program, and we can't improve it because we can't fire bad teachers due to the government being public and many states allowing teacher's unions.

Competition generates wealth, sure. Does it generate wealth in YOUR country? Yes, if the competition is IN YOUR COUNTRY. But we aren't competing within the US, we are competing with the world. Competition also takes wealth from the uncompetitive and transfers it to the competitive.

And confederate attracting the youth vote? That they can simply move to the state they like? They still need jobs, and they still have a family they may want to live near. And the youth who choose to move will probably all flock to the same few extremely liberal states. What's that going to do to the 'Confederate Republican states'? Drain them of labor and future workers. They don't appeal to the youth in any way except allowing for a state outside of their own that does appeal to the youth to be created. Can these extremely liberal states enact the youth's desired policies with this massive surplus of labor? No. Social Programs would be too costly, as the number of unemployed would be unnaturally high.

States rights have a lower priority than Abortion, Gay Marriage, and poking fun at Obama on the non-Ron Republican's list of things to do.
