You see while there are always exceptions to the rule there are far less exceptions when it comes to liberals, the psychology behind leftism is one of delusion. Let's take 2 examples, a social conservative who opposes 1st trimester abortions and a marxist who supports affirmative action, the social conservative bases her belief on emotions and faith and in time once the logic sinks in she will will redefine her faith and drop it, the liberal on the other hand bases her belief on a complex logical fallacy as well as emotions, even if the liberal calms down a little it will be more difficult for her to undertand why she is wrong.
