If Republicans claim the good economy during the clinton years was thanks to congressional republicans, how come the current shitty economy isn't the fault of the congressional republicans?

Obama has the same economic views as the Congressional Republicans of the 90s. The modern Congressional Republicans are far far removed from their predecessors. Obama has included proposals in his jobs and healthcare plans that 90s Republicans came up with but modern Republicans loathe.
