Anonymous, you do a lot to make a point on many issues that need addressing but have you ever thought about putting your talents to work helping those of us that are losing our homes. My tax dollars went to bail out the banks and now they want to put me in the street. What an irony that is. This is all I have left to show for my life and when it's gone my life is gone with it
If the home is yours, then you can not lose it. So what is really happening is that you are losing your ability to live in the bank's home. And there is an easy way to avoid that consequence, and that is to pay your mortgage just like you promised to do.
>>4 Op is right tho, if you don't miss any payments, what can they legally do?

Kick you out since the banks own the property.
Also if you paid your mortgage completely, you're really only buying the physical structure itself, the bank and government still owns the property (see: the small patch of Earth).
Also, eminent domain.

Fuck eminent domain, if you want that land you pay the market value. If you were smart you'd have done your research and buy the land cheap in advance.

Nobody can "buy" land in the U.S., just rent it.

Just replace "US" with "Western world". I doubt there's anyone alive that truly owns the property they have in this day and age. Even the wealthy billionaires can't exploit loopsholes in that area.

Idiots who buy a 500,000 dollar house, on a 30,000 salary with loans.
Bitch about banks taking away the house, when they finally crack under the bills.
