Demcunts want to control the narrative by creating a myth. This myth is about how the Tea Party is now responsible for the sins of both parties for the last 30 years or something. They are accused of being secret Nazis that ride Dinosaurs that want to destroy America or the Earth or something. Making the government actually use a budget is now called terrorism and hostage taking or something like that.
The Tea Party actually asks that the government should fix the deficit and stay out of our lives. They have no problem holding Republicans responsible for their faggotry unlike their liberal counterparts.
We'll see how all this works out in the elections in 2012.
The "Tea Party" isn't an actual political party of any sort. It's basically just a year-round RNC (Republican National Convention) that promotes a quasi-libertarian ideology fused with neoconservatism. They're a joke for the most part, and their highlight so far has been to make the US nearly default on its debt.

Their Primary funding are from shady Right wing groups funded by the Rich 1% who seek to gain the most from their policies

Really? Do you have any links or proof or anything about these shady right wing groups? I don't doub you for a second, the tea party actually do seem like a bunch of nutters, but there are nutters everywhere. It gets dodgy when they're being secretly funded. We had this problem in Ireland with Libertas oting against Lisbon, no one knew where their money was coming from and they turned the whole debate into a joke, arguing about abortion and defence and a whole bunch of stuf that wasn't even in the Treaty. I don't like these fringe right wing groups, but without money they'd be a harmless bunch of lonnies. With money for advertising they can be dangerously influential. Seriously though, any names or something like that would be appreciated. Cheers

The Koch Brothers (pronounced "coke") have funded groups that have been involved with Tea Party fund raising, staging events and such (Google them, there's plenty of information). The Tea Party movement is still nominally grassroots in some aspects, but it's largely become a huge Republican circle-jerk, and it's responsible for electing the majority of House of Representatives members during this Congress (who were responsible for the country nearly defaulting on its debt).

I should also mention that the Tea Party isn't an actual political party, though. It's not like the "Libertas" was in Ireland, they're just a loosely organized movement that works through the established Republican Party.

The leftists with their typical delusional victim complex pretend that this "evil tea party" controls politics and are now causing all the problems when the reality is the opposite.
Of course the leftists style of "debate" involves nonstop slander and lies so you can basically ignore anything they say. Tea partiers promote the founding principles of this nation.

>and their highlight so far has been to make the US nearly default on its debt.
implying this is a bad thing, implying tea party had anything to do with it and it wasn't the demoncrap congress regreting sane budgets.
>>9 implying tea party had anything to do with it
Were you under a coma during the 2010 Congressional Elections and subsequent 112th Congress up until three weeks ago? and it wasn't the demoncrap congress regreting sane budgets.
Both parties raised the debt ceiling many times in the past, this time was no different. The Tea Party Republicans in the House felt the need to be mental invalids and crybaby children so when it came time for them to face their equally moronic constituents, they'll say "Yeah! We were so serious about the debt that we almost made the country default! Hurray for us!" It's a fucking joke, and the only people who don't think it is are the terminally brain-dead. implying this is a bad thing
Terminally brain-dead constituent confirmed!

Originally a grass roots movement calling for the end to statism and corporate welfare but later astroturfed over by the highly sophisticated and well funded political machine that is the republican party whilst the democrats whipped up their own slander campaign.

You should try taking some debate classes, hint: slander is not an argument.

Are you suggesting your arguments aren't free of slander? Get the fuck out.

There is still an anti-Republican element to the Tea Party, it just isn't being publicised
In Australia I turned on the TV and the first thing I see is that the Tea Party is a white separatist organisation because the majority of the protesters are white, I guess rap concerts are black people conspiring to enforce white slavery

Derp, tea partiers think Obama is a foreigner and a muslim solely because he's black. Tea partiers have shouted nigger at the black congressional caucus and spat on them as they walked by. They claim Obama is attempting to enslave whites and they believe that Obama hates white culture. Also my boss is a tea partier, he thinks black people are all welfare queens, Obama is a Muslim from Kenya, and that we need a white Christian govt. I know that last bit is purely anecdotal but personally every tea partier ive met in person harbors racist or bigoted views.

No, those are the astroturfers the statist republicunts brought along. The original teaparty was quickly turning into a political disaster for the corporatists, people were beginning to question their state sanctioned monopoly over the US financial system which is worth trillions and they only had to spend a miniscule proportion of that to save it.

I guess you're referring to its libertarian elements, and Democratic Party elements within the Tea Party. They're there, but they're now a tiny minority in the Tea Party movement. Republicans make a majority in the House of Representatives, and a large part of that has to do with a lot of fresh faces that correlate with the movement, and established Republican members that aligned with the movement so they could keep their seats.

No. Tea party people actually don't like the Republicans much because the Republicans seem just as corrupt as the Democrats. Their critics seem to be in a constant state of rabid attack and seek to demonize them.
No one wants anything to change. Which is why people are looking elsewhere for hope.

Full retard much? Do you even know what you just said and why you should be embarrassed for saying it?

That may have been true during its actual grassroots days (pre-GOP Sarah Palin/Glenn Beck style takeover), but now the history of it is so convoluted and distorted that its pretty much meaningless. No one wants anything to change. Which is why people are looking elsewhere for hope.
There are third parties, people seem to forget that.
