No matter how much of a "society" you humans build in attempts to cover up your miserable secrets, you will always consist of both light and darkness. You tell yourselves to stay away from the night, but such vows mean nothing to a child of the night. You will fall into a trace and submit to the night just like everyone else.

You invent laws for "giving consent", and becry the concept of "rape", but this is claiming a part of you that belongs to the night, as your own. Despite your attempt at this political "theft", your body will always belong to the children of the night, whether your mind cares or not. It was never yours to begin with, and if you tie it up with integrity, these bonds will be torn asunder into insanity when the vampire calls.

I can imagine something that powerful, I can imagine vampires, xenomorphs, zombies and those predator aliens from the movie predator, I can also imagine threats that actually exist, there are brownskins in the deepest darkest regions of Africa who could kill me in an instant with their ak47s. Violence isn't a shock to me, it isn't even an anathema, it's something that's commonplace and not worth dwelling over like accidentally stubbing your toe. Violence in this society isn't unusual, the low levels of violence are the only thing that is unusual, 15 year olds who play cowadoody 4 who think they are a god's golden turds because they can imagine violent things are just retarded and deluded.
