NATO: NO, fuck YOU all! *invades.*
NATO: Hello, fellow subjects. You are now a liberated democracy.

War is the naked face of modern liberalism. I am not talking about the phantom liberalism that the equally liberal "conservative" media moguls whine about, I am talking about the true reality of modern western liberalism. The counterpoint that rose up to compete against communism and shored up its domestic economies by subsidizing production via the military industrial complex. Socialism lite, all the benefits of overt socialism, but with a different name and a shiny happy face forever turned away from the bloodletting it requires to survive in its current state.

It will never stop. We had the proxy wars, now we have blowback, tomorrow we will have further unrest as new players emerge and vie for influance such as China and vaccuums are created and filled in a never ending cycle of popular war.
