there's like... (in a way) circles around you...
like there's everything that you can perceive... everything that you are aware off. you can choose to focus more on this or that (basically change your "subscriptions") but you'll never be aware of EVERYTHING that goes on. so in the ocean of experiences you could draw a circle around you with everything that affects you.
so then of course, with this input you do stuff so you have a circle around you with all the things you affect. (yeah i'm still stuck working with a subject-object kind of world view in which there's "me" in the "world" and interactions between them. i'm well aware this only makes sense up to a certain point.)
so i'm thinking... what would make more sense... where to focus energy... because you can focus on spending all your time looking for stuff, figuring things out etc... but maybe it would make more sense to just sit down, not think, get drunk and play video games? or you can spend your time trying to get a bigger impact on the world (get rich, make powerful friends), but what are you going to do with that ability if you don't understand the world? maybe you should just sit down and think real hard about things, trying to figure out how they work, before making an impact on the world. but how would you know if you figured it out? and who's to say it's even possible to figure it all out?
