If Donald Trump goes Independent - the Republicans musn't run anybody and just swallow it and throw their support behind Donald Trump, even though that's politically taboo, there's NO WAY there must be a split in the race. It's too dangerous to have Obama get reelected. They'll just have to skip this presidential election if Trump trys something.

Well, there are MANY reasons why but the main one is the national debt that recently has entered the TRILLION dollar range. It's not sustainable under Obama, and would take a literal maverick to bring it down. That's the GOP's goal, also, so as long as Trump pledges to bring it down, I don't see why we can't entrust the race to him.
