sup newpol i just though of this when i was high

basically what it says is "everybody always tries to do their best"... what i mean is sometimes people do dumb shit but they always want to do "good", just that they have to work with what they have (limited amount of financial resources, limited amount of physical strength, limited amount of mobility, limited amount of understanding). i think i might have heard this from thom hartmann's NLP podcast or something like that... anyways that's only the first part of it imo

there's also the part where you have to wonder: what does it mean to do "what's best"... not in a philisophical way but more like... what people seem to do etc... blah blah... ok so, first thing i noticed is that people always add "for"... so they want to do what is good FOR (themselves, their family, their country, their planet, etc...)

second thing i notice is like you know... these 'groups' that ppl are part of, or whatever you want to call them, they generally seem to be like one-inside-the-next... like i said: me, my family, my friends, my country and this planet. every group is part of the next. but that's not always the case for everyone like immegrants. ok. so sometimes the interests of one group will not be the same as the interests of another group and then you have conflict.

so i hate fucking conflict. i mean i'm not opposed to its existence that would be insanity but i just want to have as little as possible of it in my life. i notice that there's all these hippies out there who put the 'earth group' above everything and that's stupid, there are nationalists who put their energy in the layer beneath that or individualists who only care about themselves. so, i see you can probably have some freedom about the groups in which you invest your energy.

okay, so, i found that by abandoning all "make belief" circles such as nationality, race, religion, ideology etc... i have greatly improved the quality of my life, and i found that i have less conflict, stress. all that shit is just straight retarded lol. when i see someone in a heated argument about whether or not "we" should do this or that, i now think about what he means when he says "we"... and usually they mean something silly and i just go like "bitch i dont give a fuck lol like you're going to change government policy shut the fuck up this conversation is useless"

You should read "The selfish gene" by richard dawkins (this guy also invented the idea of memes). In the beginning he goes quite deep about the different groups you wrote about. He starts by discussing altruism and egoism. Actualy he is trying to explain why altruism exists. From a natural selection point of view it seems very strange the any creature would care for anybody but themselves, but since altruism exists throughout nature, there has to be an underlying interest for organisms that care for their group.

Regarding humans, I think we live in societies much larger than he can manage. So instead of all being one group, we naturaly break up into smaller groups that are competitive with each other.

Since the group 'humans' is enormously large to comprehend, we look for things in other people that we can relate to and we group with those people. These things could be race, religion, football team, political party etc. They are very subjective things that if examined logically make absolutely no sense whatsoever because they don't guarantee any advantages to the subjects of the group. Yet, being social being, it is very natural to be part of groups.

What would be very useful would be to be aware of the needs that form this mechanism, and instead of grouping subconsciously, use this knowledge to form groups that are practically beneficial to the participating individuals.

(disregard the "new study" part, steven pinker has been saying 150 for years and i also saw it pop up in gladwel's "the tipping point")

No, he just took an old idea and gave it a new name like marxists, populists and charlatans do.

Steven Pinker > Dick Dawkins

Dawkins is like a 16 year old attention whore, Pinker is a classy 21 year old with curves, muscle tone, wit and no baggage.

Less "stress" because you are mindlessly apathetic about everything? Why not commit suicide, that'll fix your stress problems forever.

It's not strange, if a parent passes on genes to 10 siblings which then fight and eat each other it is at a disadvantage compared to a parent that passes on genes to 10 siblings who cooperate against rival species

Dawkins is a pseudo-intellectual coffee book writer, he hasn't made a single original inference since the 80s.

That is because Dawkins is 1/2 Jewish. And his wife (Sarah Ward) seems too 1/2 Jewish, who in past was married to a 100% Jew Tom Baker. At least in Russia persons looking like Sarah would be without doubt labeled Jewish.

Also, remember that these 1/2 Jews are even more dangerous than pure Jews. When the next Holocaust comes, they should be the first to visit gas chambers.

If for some reason you found yourself being sent to the gas chambers what would you do?

I would feel ashamed for being an ugly Jew and bringing so much evil to this poor world.

Nobody in this thread has actually read Dawkins.

But you already do bring "evil" by your postings. But you don't need a gas chamber, you need evaluation.
