Democracy in the Middle East

Name: Anonymous 2011-03-22 3:26

The people of the Arab world are heavily anti-Israel and against American foreign policy. If more Arab nations follow suit with Egypt and work towards democracy, all the work western civilization has put into the middle east will fall apart. Mubarak was a pawn of the American government. Without him, and other Arab puppet dictators, there will be nothing to stop surrounding Arab nations from invading Israel. America will be pressured to come to Israel's aid.

Will we then abandon Israel? Or will we declare war on the Arab world?

Disregard the "we"s and replace with "Western Nations" and/or "the US"

It looks like the arab word is having its own may68. There's nothing wrong with that. In fact, even though it produces problems right now, in the long run is a very possitive thing. I'm not american so seriously, I don't give a shit if amricans and israellis loose power in the area. The governments of the arabs ware really backwards and seem like they can't follow the progress of the rest of the world. Change is unavoidable since everyone has access to the internet and can exchange idea so easily.

Of course many countries (not just the US and israel) have interests in keeping then uncivilised but this is impossible to go on forever. The poeple are ahead of their governments (and religion) and this makes these institutions seem like dinosaurs of the past. Since both govt and the muslim religion have been so conservative and backwards and they didn't adopt at all to the new world, change is inevitable.

Too bad that in the case of a revolution in the UAE the price of oil will reach over $200 bringing the world economy down...
