Need help - be in solidarity with Belarus.

HI all.

I'm from Belarus - country between Poland and Russia.

I don't know if you hear anything about last presidental elections in my country, so I provide you with short info.

19 of December was the last day of elections. THe government started anti-popular actions in the morning: ssl protocol (so https also) was blocked by governmental provider - beltelecom.by . So people weren't able login to Facebook, gmail and other services which use ssl, and they were not able to get info about situation in country. Also this provider block (or tried to block) most of opposition mass-media (charter97.by, nn.by. gazetaby.com and others).
All these things were for blocking people from mass protest actions.

However, more than 40000 peoples came to Kastrychnickaya street for showing their disagree with spoofed elections. THe government didn't have enough conscience for starting dialog with their citizens, so they incited special ops (omg, soldier, which should protect people from terrorists, were against peaceful unarmed people). More than 700 people were arrested, hundreds - had been bitten (including women and journalists).

7 of 9 opposite candidates were arrested by KGB ( yeh, we still have this monster :..( ), and now we are faced with hidden civil war: everyday KGB arrests any people, who has personal opinion. For example, yesterday some participants of action of solidarity were arrested near KGB, where they had meeting against illegal arresting of candidates and other civils.

I want stress again, that in all cases government apply power to PEACEFUL UNARMED citizens. We are not burning cars, we are not broke shops. We fight for FREEDOM.

So why do I need you help? After the blood Sunday beltelecom said that it haven't block ssl, they haven't block opposite and independent mass-megia. And they have said that they protect president.gov.by from attack. THIS IS LIE! Tomorrow, 21 of december, bloody dictator Lukashenko is going to perform inauguration.

interesting.  Sounds like you need to starty getting bloody and violent.

Mate I'm greek and we face the same shit here prety much. But how will taking down these sites help your situation? You need to start learning how to make barricades and molotovs. Start meeting the people in your neibourhood make collectives and fight back. But remember. Always make decissions democraticaly through open meetings, otherwise you might end up like those you are fighting against.

KGB in this case refers to the internal State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus (full name); the name was retained as a holdover from the agency's former existence as part of the actual KGB (they'd have to change all their business cards?).
