It was the Native Americans who discovered European racism, slavery and brutal wars of conquest...

Yeah, well,..They had it comin' to 'em..If they couldn't advance far enough as a people to defend their land, then "get outta the way, superior forces are comin'!!"
Anyone with a high school education knows the Columbus story is typical bullshit folklore. Get over it.
And nothing of value was lost!
Wrong. We lost one thing of value: cultural diversity. I'm not saying the "native" American cultures were valuable. They weren't. Neither were the actual lives of the people. It is the diversity itself that was valuable. More diversity makes for a more tolerant and level-headed society as a whole.

"Cultural diversity" is, historically, always a liability, not an asset. Always. Without exception, everywhere on the planet, since the dawn of recorded history.
Societies that attempt to make a little tin god of it and worship it are always, always, in their death throes.
Well, I think it depends on what you mean by culture. As long as the country agrees on the fundementals, I think it's OK. If half of the country thinks the other half is evil, not so much.

I like how you failed to provide even a single example.
