What is the political inference of the fact that the discussion on newspol is tediously slow generally.

Is politics an uninteresting topic for most, or most to not tackle the topic well? does it demonstrate a demographic of politically minded people and does that also demonstrate the lack of political cohesion in our modern 'civilized' societies?
