greetings and salutations to all you illustrious members of /newpol/.
Since there is a very real chance that David Cameron could be the next Prime Minister of Great Britain I'm asking all of you to weigh in on the matter.

Has Labour lost touch with the British people?
Is it safe for Britain to change governments in the midst of a recession without jeopardizing their recovery?
How will Tory spending cuts effest social benefits?
Which party has the best plan for job creation?
Will the xenophobic elements within the conservative party divide the voters?
WHAT ABOUT THE EUROPE SITUATION???

/newpol/ cast your jugdement.
Election day is May 6.

Has Labour lost touch with the British people?

Yes. They seem to be drunk with power and introducing draconian laws that take away our freedoms - e.g. no photographs in westminister, Digital economy Bill.

Is it safe for Britain to change governments in the midst of a recession without jeopardizing their recovery?

Technically, since the economy has had positive growth we are out of the recession, but let's say we are still in one. It could do. It's hard to tell if we would be in a worse position if the tories were at the helm. I going to go with yes, given their previous track record and the fact George Osbourne is about as qualified to be Chancellor of the Exchequer as camel humping towel head (lol theology)

How will Tory spending cuts effest (sic) social benefits?

Adversely. But perhaps their job boost might counteract it?

Which party has the best plan for job creation?

Tories cut in NI seems to be a good idea. We do not need a Pay role tax.

Will the xenophobic elements within the conservative party divide the voters?

Some might go for BNP or UKIP  but overall labour is so unpopular I dont think it'll matter.

WHAT ABOUT THE EUROPE SITUATION???

What about it? ;) There's no way we're leaving the EU. I doubt we'll ever join the Euro any time soon though.
