By Elitist, I am suggesting that a particular group may selectively discriminate, such as to promote thier own "approved members", rather than fairly considering all qualified candidates.

They may discriminate in distributing opportunities, funds, grants, specials, sales, etc. 

Financiers happen to be the most damaging of elitists.
