Why is voting so broken

Name: Anonymous 2009-08-30 16:02

Why do we still use electoral votes?  It made sense 100 years ago, but now a days EVERYONE has a TV, radio, internet, etc.  I think everyone can make a vote for themselves.  It seems the bigger the country the candidate comes from the more in their favor the vote will be.

Because most Americans are retarded, and need someone else to vote for them.

Also, niggers.

People still don't trust electronic voting.  And counting up paper votes is a difficult enough task once every four years, having to do it multiple times a year every time there's a votable issue come up is untenable.  Good idea, but it ain't gonna happen any time soon.

Each state already counts up the votes to make an electoral vote.  Just add up all the freakin numbers.

If it's so easy, why don't you do it yourself?

The US began originally more like the european union or NATO, the colonies were largely independant nations.

Unfortunately, the signal-to-noise imbalance more often than not only inhibits productive debate and furthers voter ignorance.

Not that the electoral college does jack-shit for anything
