Of course, the thing is my culture is superior which means I'm right.

Terrorsim is... - "The war of the common man". It's the response to unlegal wars, endless exploitation and ethnic cleansing. Therfor we should all fear terrorism as a rising star of poor power.

"my culture is superior"
your 'culture': "jesus tells me scientists who say mcdonalds is bad are fascist communist socialists"

i'm curious as to what is predominantly Western 'culture'. The west stopped having culture ever since it was replaced with marketing everything to maximize profit.
so yes, by your own standards, if you prioritize living in a world stuffed full of comfort and convenience, that's fine, but some people have better goals in life.

I'm not the person you're having this discussion with, however I agree. Hell, I lean towards libertarianism, and even I can agree that McDonald's is terrible. But if people wish to screw up their health, body and wellbeing from consuming it, by all means let them.

Cool strawman bro.
>but some people have better goals in life.
Like what? "Consummating" their marriage to a 9 year old? Real advanced culture there hajji.

Only trailer/ghetto trash eat fast food everyday, I haven't eaten at McDonalds for years but I believe it's an important element of our culture, it's good to know it's there, to know that for 1000s years the majority of the population and most of the world still today live in poverty but if I wanted to I could get stuff myself full of burgers and fries in a heartbeat.

make the logical assumption that this english language translation and interpretation of the book, applied it in the context of the time and culture in which we live, written so long ago and taking it as fact is too much of a leap in logic.

try telling that to all the muslims now; you're essentially saying they cannot understand their religion. Remember, not all muslims speak arabic and live in mecca. If we accept the religion of Islam, to understand it, we must be take the translation as fact. Or at least i think so.

And what i am saying is, to take the translation as fact, you must first at least sufficiently translate it.
For the reasons i stated above, the common English translation of much of the Koran is quite simply a gross misstranslation, and even after considering that, an irrelevant detail considering the cultural context in which a man ignorant of the history of societies and civilizations in the region (such as, what a marriage would have constituted to a desert dwelling tribal pagan merchant from the orient during late antiquity, as i had stated).
Truly, almost nothing in the books but what is most plainly stated and clearly translated can indeed be taken as fact. This is done for pretty much all religions. I guess, extrapolating from what you imply, nobody may have a true understanding their old faith. But it has become so common this fact is almost acceptable now, no?
