The problem, OP, is that in modern society, the vast majority of children are utterly incapable of making that kind of decision on their own. Taking advantage of that fact is rape, plain and simple, regardless of "consequences".
That said, I will admit I am sexually attracted to little girls. It probably stems from my fucked up relationships growing up. Whatever. I tell myself that I would never do anything to a real child, that I can keep fantasy separated from reality, but if I were presented with the perfect opportunity to have consequence-free sex with a child, I know I wouldn't be able to control myself. That scares the shit out of me. Sometimes I catch myself looking at kids sexually in public places and I'm overwhelmed with shame and disgust. More often, though, I find the nearest restroom and fap.
