Black Africans are incapable of running a decent country. I propose we kill them all this time and give a piece of Africa to every country that aided in killing them. Perhaps we can keep a few primitive tribes alive and put them in walled-off reservations without access to modern technology or consumer goods. It would be a nice tourist attraction.

Building better defended structures and cities, developing the technology for better weapons, creating a moral and political code to distinguish citizens from enemies, protecting citizens and developing agriculture to ensure military and political strength, and creating national pride through history and folklore.  Random tribes becomes organized and form systems in relation to each other.  The actual period of feudal warfare is bloody and wasteful, but at the end the nation still has a better understanding of technology and politics, which it can use for peace to avoid the same bloody conflicts. 

Modern Japan has a great sense of history and pride, with an appreciation of the past including old temples and samurai, but civilization has progressed past that point so it can never go back, but only looks back in wonder.  If China invaded Japan when they were still undeveloped and ruled over them, they might be like the native americans who want a sense of pride but are so marginalized that they don't have an actual civilization.  Europe rationalized violence as service to God, and developed a moral system around knights and kings that gave peace centuries later.  Africa has tribal politics, but allowing tribes to develop on their own in their own system could create a natural building of defense, treaties, and customs for war, peace, trade, mining, agriculture, and some permanency of civilization, even if it takes a lot longer than everyone else to get there. 

But more importantly, you could have African samurais in pop culture and they'd have cool swords and then you could have some impressive fantasy stories based on those myths that would be more than just talking to animals while carving sticks and soon there would be books and anime and comics and it would have some history instead of the crap in Black Panther.
