Pledge of Allegiance

I'm sure many of you are aware that the pledge didn't always contain the words "under God", but did you know it was written by a socialist?

It's just another one of the tools they all use to indoctrinate the people they want to control.  I was suspended from school in the eighth grade for refusing to say it.  In 1977.

No, as I indicated, it was time to sleep.  No one can ever expect universal agreement here.  At the very least there's always some ignorant, noxious little troll lurking somewhere, just waiting to post some childish barb because it's all they're capable of.  I welcome argument and criticism.  It's a large part of why I post here.  Intelligent argument and criticism helps me refine my position, occasionally forces me to reassess it, and the exchange is always fun.  That's intelligent argument and criticism.   Not that last nights exchange had managed to produce anything interesting yet.  The time stamp on your post makes me doubt you are the fellow I started bickering with, and that you are more likely one of the aforementioned trolls, but if you think you've got something, bring it.

Well this is 4chan, people here are not restricted by arbitrary customs and this provides a unique environment where the very fact that insults and hubris are the norm means that real insults and hubris have no effect. I think this process can be best described as "troll inflation", there is so much trolling here one cannot simply go "LOL NIGGERS" or post some shitcocks to succesfully troll someone, the troll must have some truth to their statement to legitimately threaten the target's opinion and induce a response. Ironically the truth is much more important here than on some forum with draconian mods where you have to register.

The pledge being forced at school is comparable to Hitler's schooling/Education system , where they pledged allegiance to the Fuhrer every morning.
