World Peace

Don't mind me, just working on my plan for world peace.

1) Abolish religion.
2) Celebrate world peace.

You don't think the religious will fight?  They use their gods as justification for all their wars and foul deeds.  If we attack them directly it would be a real mess.

They didn't put up much of a fight against Stalin and Mao.

About 90% of the planet is irrational, delusional, and retarded. They were brainwashed as children and were deprived of anything resembling a real education in their formative years. There is no hope for these people and they are demonstrably unfit to be parents. To be blunt, they should be exterminated. One somewhat humane way to go about it would be to simply not allow them to reproduce and the problem takes care of itself in a century.

About half of the remaining 10% are similarly retarded, but instead of being insane, they simply lack critical thinking skills. They are not beyond hope, but the cost, logistics, and prescription of education wouldn't be worth it. Rather, we just need to improve public education, especially in the earliest stages, so that the next generation will benefit.

With religion out of the equation, people will still something to disagree with.  And so long as people disagree, there will always be some of them who decide to escalate it to violence.  Abolition of religion is just a band-aid solution at best.

Yet religion flourishes in Russia and China today.

First, every study I've seen has shown that atheistic societies are FAR less violent than religious ones. Also, surveys of prisons show that 99.5-99.9% of inmates are religious, even in countries with large atheist populations. There's got to be something to that.

Second, we, as a mostly religious global society, are brainwashing our children with irrational, ignorant, and hateful bullshit. Religions punish skepticism, curiosity, pride, and self worth, replacing them with dogmatic faith, shame, and bigotry. Religion tears apart everything that makes these kids humane and builds a character foundation out of fear.

I could go on for hours. The point is, we're abusing them in the most horrible way imaginable. We're stunting their intellectual growth and crippling them emotionally. We are quite literally raping their minds when they are at their most vulnerable. Why isn't this illegal? Where's the outrage?

Do you really fail to see how this might possibly be having some sort of effect on the stability of society as a whole? Abolishing religion wouldn't end all violence, sure. There's still going to be power struggles and such. But don't you think that would be a MAJOR step in the right direction? Without the constant distraction of religion, we might actually be able to then solve some of the causes of those other conflicts.

There's plenty of debate on whether children are naturally religious, and learn atheism, or if they're naturally atheistic, and learn religion.  And I don't mean religion in the 'follow these rules or BURN IN HELL' sense that you seem to prefer, rather the fundamental idea of faith in a supreme power (or powers) at work in the universe.  Until someone can experimentally prove this one way or the other, there's no reason to believe that the atheists aren't doing as much harm to their children as the religious parents supposedly are.

And I love how you're painting all religions with the same brush.  If that isn't "irrational, ignorant, and hateful bullshit", I don't know what is.

Religion, and not politics, promise eternal bliss ("Heaven") for those martyred for the Good Cause(TM) and eternal damnation ("Hell") for the unbelievers. Plus, your faith must be complete, or else you are an unbeliever and going to Hell.
With politics, you just have to believe enough to get with the program and Get Things Done. Plus, it only threatens sub-standard living conditions for the people. Rectify the (perceived) mistakes, and things will be better. As you see, this "damnation" is somewhat less than eternal...

For people who worship science it's amazing how you are unable to understand the complex and chaotic nature of humanities or how to distinguish cause from effect.

Stalin and Mao are the top 2 ranking democidal tyrants of the 20th century, they were atheist, this didn't stop them creating their own personality cults and major religions survived their regimes.

How often do we all hear that as a excuse from christians as they go on about murdering and raping.  "Oh, well they weren't real or good christians."  For the record, the evidence of Hitlers christianity is inconclusive.  He was damn sure raised a christian, and used christianity when it was to his advantage.  Was he a christian in that last bunker?  We'll never know.  But after the performance of the Roman Catholic church during that war, the largest christian denomination both then and now, please understand that no intelligent person should ever attribute any sort of positive moral characteristics to your noxious superstition ever again.

Exactly.

You kill people indirectly by not living a spartan lifestyle so you can hand over all your spare cash to charities.

Since my point was that atheists are no different from christians in terms of barbarism I don't care.

If only women were in charge the world there would be peace and no one would ever kill each other or commit crime.

The way things stand with most women today, vacillating between claiming to want equality, but still wanting to be taken care of, if only women were in charge nothing would get done until everything collapsed into a great mess that men would have to clean up.
Pick a side.  Stand up and be responsible for yourself and your own identity, or obey.  That's the choice.  Now what's it gonna be; I want a sandwich.

I didn't mean men in the sense of the sex, I meant the species.

Don't change these.
