I think what the OP is trying to say is that science is inherantly inconclusive, so even though theories like evolution and metpahysical concepts such as god are not perfect that doesn't mean they are false.

There is no scientific proof for the existence of Einstein, Newton, Darwin, Galileo, or many other allegedly influential scientists.  Plenty of written records, some gravesites, and a bunch of witness reports, but all of which are easily falsifiable and nowhere near reproducible with any scientific merit.

What we need is a way to experimentally validate their existence.  Otherwise, all their so-called innovations and insights into the natural world and the science which governs it should be treated as mere myth and legend.

Heavy repression such as in Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Communist China under Mao was quite succesful.

Religiously-imposed sexual repression is pretty much a myth.  Catholics are allowed to go out and have all the sex they want, AS LONG AS THEY DO IT MARRIED.  This is well in the realms of reasonable self-control, and it's only the irresponsible "Durr, we can has sex with anything now" people who screw it up for the rest.  Priests are a different story, but in that case celibacy is a path they choose for themselves.

Catholics are not actually allowed to ENJOY any of the sex they're allowed to have, but that's a different issue entirely.
