Political Beginnings

I am interested in pursuing further a budding interest in politics, and want to read everything I can relating to politics,political science, theory, etc.

However, outside of The Republic and The Prince, I have no idea what to read. I want to start at the beginning, with the foundations of modern political theory.

Basically I'm asking for a list of important political works written pre-modern times.
