A $3m ransom is believed to have been parachuted onto the tanker

Six members of a group of Somali pirates who hijacked and later released a Saudi-owned oil tanker are reported to have drowned along with their share of a $3m ransom.

The pirates were among eight men whose boat overturned off the coast of Kenya in a storm as they left the Sirius Star following a two-month standoff that ended on Friday, a pirate and a relative of one of the dead men said.

"Six of our boys perished at the sea while coming from the released Saudi supertanker," Mohamed Said told the AFP news agency. (continued...)

This and the Chiquita banana incident show that governments and corporations are complacent and willing to bow under pressure. This is why we need real world vigilante super hero teams who are willing to fight crime when governments won't.  We need a citizen's army of anonymous masked protectors, willing to risk their lives to fight crime.  Whose side are you on?

That's where China comes in. They usually execute pirates as soon as they are captured. There used to be a bunch of pirates operating near China's waters until China repeatedly hunted a bunch of them down and shot them publicly in a stadium. Result: piracy became almost extinct in those waters. Governments need to man up and execute scum like pirates and drug dealers, as China does. Guess what? It works. Who gives a shit about the "human rights" of scum who only exist to cause misery to others?
