Adapt or die -- that's how the environment works, that's how the environment's worked for billions of years. The sooner you get that fact straight, the sooner you can stop shoving your tree hugging agenda down my throat.
Consciously trying to revert the environment back to what it was some hundreds of years ago, that's unnatural. It's not even like it's getting too hot for us to survive or anything, it's mostly the weird little niche biospheres that are getting affected to the point of extinction. And noone really cares about them.
Why not just return the earth to a tropical hothouse like it was during the age of the dinosaurs? Don't dinosaurs deserve a second chance too?
