Dont judge so quickly, video games make a lot of economic sense. Dollar for dollar, they offer the most affordable entertainment. A ticket to a movie costs $10 and gives you two hours of entertainment. A console system with three games is like $300. Assuming you play the video games for over 60 hours in the course of your life, it's already a better deal. Add some more cheap used games and it becomes a phenomenal deal.
