Officially, we have children in the white house. The first ever African American, not to mention half white, 44th president of the United States of America. For all of the hate that has been seen here. None of this matters no more, as Barack Obama is the new president. Sadly thanks to myself being in California. My vote wasn't the winning vote. However my candidate that I have chosen has taken the white house.
Now, starting next year, let's see if he keeps all of the promises he made or if he shall become another president worthy of criticism. Either way, we shall always remember this night, this day, this year, as the year history was made. Someday we shall look back and realize that we were there when a black man was elected president. Now on to 2012, which could just as well be more historic. Perhaps we shall see a woman president someday. Fuck, she might as well be a Libertarian.
With that said,
Good-Night America.

Of course he will become a president worthy of criticism. It would be unpatriotic to not criticize the PotUS when he does something that is ill-advised or questionable. Which he no doubt will. That's what democracy is all about and it's your duty as an American to scrutinize and criticize the actions of your leaders. Haven't you been paying attention?

are you some sort of stupid?
"The voice of protest, of warning, of appeal is never more needed than when the clamor of fife and drum, echoed by the press and too often by the pulpit, is bidding all men fall in and keep step and obey in silence the tyrannous word of command. Then, more than ever, it is the duty of the good citizen not to be silent."

Finally, we - by which I mean the rest of the world - may be able to once again actually like the United States of America, rather than dispising it.
2. Bush had to leave anyway, since some little piece of paper called the U.S. Constitution said so.
At any rate, speaking of "now", those of you who ever wanted a gun had better go and buy one NOW ... with enough high-capacity clips, and reloading materials. A Dem President with a Dem Congress is going to ban and fee and tariff all your Second Amendment rights completely away.

If the GOP selected Ron Paul instead of McCain, we wouldn't be fucked right now. Ron Paul would be the one getting sworn in on the 20th.

If Ron Paul was ever elected, they would kill him before he'd get the chance to be sworn in.
Ron Paul was a very radical politician. He wanted to abolish the Federal Reserve and the IRS. Had He become President-elect someone would try to assassinate Him because those fat cats who make ungodly gobs of money would not want to be put out on the street by His policies because He wants to follow the Constitution.
