NY Abesntee Ballot "Typo"

"Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama's last name was spelled "Osama" on three hundred absentee ballots mailed out this week in Rensselaer County, New York. First reported in the TimesUnion.com, election officials in Rensselaer County say the misspelling is merely a typo."

Yeah. Right. I'm fucking sure. Republicans ought to be fucking ashamed of themselves, especially with the FUD mongering being done by McCain and Palin at their rallies for the last couple weeks.

Then again, maybe it's a Democrat ploy to make the Republicans look bad.

I don't think it's a conspiracy of any sort, but I DO think it is highly likely that it was intentionally done by one or more of the three people who had oversight on those particular ballots.

Just head over to youtube and watch some of the vids of people at the recent Republican rallies in Ohio, ffs. A LOT of those people genuinely believe Obama is a Muslim terrorist and will proudly tell you so.

Sure a typo is "possible", but 'b' and 's' aren't exactly near each other and three people supposedly looked at it.

Also, I don't know much about the process, but why weren't ALL the ballots the same? Aren't they ALL generated automatically by a macro, with only the resident's name changed, if that? Sounds like deliberate tampering to me.

tl;dr: I think it was intentional, but only by certain retarded individuals, not a conspiracy.
