dohohoho, sure is mccain saying almost the exact same shit as obama about the 700 billion dollar bail out. At least up to the questions, can't script responses.

Name: Anonymous 2008-09-23 16:40

except mccain is calling it a sacrifice and isn't planning on paying back america.

Name: Anonymous 2008-09-23 16:50

Obama is saying nothing about the bailout because he has nothing to say about it. It's too complex an issue for his "community organizer" brain to grasp..

If you think McCain understands economics at ALL, you haven't been paying attention. If you think Palin's atrocious record in Alaska counts for SHIT, you're delusional.

Google it, faggot.

McCain and his ilk are the CAUSE of this shit. If it weren't for the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, we wouldn't be in this fucking mess. And guess what? Gramm is McCain's top economic adviser and campaign co-chairman. And McCain STILL wants to continue doing more of the same. Brilliant!

If Palin isn't going to risk interviews, she's a fucking coward.

This whole mess has been caused by DEMOCRATS. Do you think any self respecting Republican would pressure banks to make unsound loans to niggers and illegals? In the name of "social justice and housing for all"?

I don't think so, Niggercrats.

Remember the election in 2006?

A little over one year ago:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon and crude was $50 a barrel;
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:

1) Consumer confidence plummet;
2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.50 a gallon and crude to $117 a barrel;
3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);
4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;
6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

America voted for change in 2006, and we got it!

Those are bad things that the REPUBLICAN congress left behind. PROTIP, WHY DO YOU THINK THE VOTERS KICKED OUT THE REPUBLICANS?

If the republicans had been doing so good towards the end, they would have gotten re-elected, obviously, they brought a lot of shit, in conjunction with the president.

Now the Democratic congress has to deal with their lame duck shit.

>This whole mess has been caused by DEMOCRATS.

The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Financial Services Modernization Act is undisputedly one of the largest causes of the current economic crisis. This Republican act of deregulation was supported by McCain and only passed because Democrats were promised privacy and equal opportunity clauses (which were almost immediately repealed). Gramm is now McCain's campaign co-chairman and top economic adviser and both of them still think more of the same will help.

>Do you think any self respecting Republican would pressure banks to make unsound loans to niggers and illegals? In the name of "social justice and housing for all"?

Actually, it was the unregulated independent mortgage companies that were NOT bound by the Community Reinvestment Act that were giving out unsound loans. It has been shown (see last link) that CRA banks are "less likely to sell risky mortgages onto the secondary market, and likely mitigated the effect of the subprime crisis." If it wasn't for CRA banks, this mess would be a whole lot worse.

The Congress is only Democratic by a small margin and don't forget there's still a Republican president. Anything that does get through the Congress is either vetoed outright by Bush or reduced to a useless, steaming pile. The situation is the same even with the roles reversed. Congress is usually more or less useless unless it's majority is mirrored by the President. It's no surprise that they haven't been able to do much. To use the wording from another thread where your post was reposted, Congress is trying to stop an avalanche with a snow shovel. You aren't going to be able to stop more than a decade of bad decisions with crippled, half-ass measures.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that it is once again the Republicans who are further damaging the economy because they aren't letting Democrats fix their mistakes. Worse, the Republicans are in denial about the whole thing and want to do more of the same shit that got us in this mess in the first place (see: McCain).

Which is why 90% of the defaulting loans are controlled by Freddy and Fanny.

Moron.

Washington is going to fuck us all over, regardless of party.

Democrats and Republicans all make the same terrible choices.

So the only issue I care about where the both mainstream parties aren't on the wrong side is Gun Control.

I cannot vote for Biden or Obama because of their record on that issue.

Otherwise I would be screaming FUCK MCCAIN with the rest of you.

I may just pencil in Mickey Mouse.
