The advantage about Orthodox Jewry is that you have an instant answer to every possible question:

It's the will of Yahweh.

The disadvantage about that is the answer doesn't apply to any question whatsoever.

You know, if you really want to be a Jewish convert, it's not an easy task. You must pass their little tests to become part of their ethnic club. The first is to face rejection. A rabbi will usually reject a prospective convert 2 or 3 times as a test. So all you to do is keep asking. Even if you become a Jew, do you actually think you'll go up in the church? I think not, as you weren't born a Jew. You'd just be a Jew slave. Damn, if that's not irony I don't know what is.

I assumed OP was already a Jew and was just was considering becoming orthodox.
