It's actually hurting him. Since the announcement, Obama is up 8 points. McCain picked someone so absurdly far right that he's cut himself off from all moderate and liberal voters. He just lost any hope at obtaining the majority of the vote. He should have listened to himself and went with Lieberman instead of listening to his idiot advisers and going with Palin.
