National socialism is in the same sense a socialist ideology as are libertarian socialism, democratic socialism, market socialism etc.
Proudhon, for instance, was like "I think Marx is a cool guy, eh studied philosophy and doesn't afraid of anything ... but I will still develop my own brand of socialism."
Nazis were fans of the planned economy idea but compensated for that by hating everything else about Marx.
If you'd listen what the nazi successor parties in Germany have to say about capitalism you'd get the impression that they're die hard commies.
