stock market crash

Let pretend that the stock market is going to crash in 3 months. I imagine all stocks would be worth less. what type of investments would withstand or flourish. I read that investing in the essentials would withstand. are there things other then stocks that would flourish during another great depression?

Tobacco and alcohol would be pretty safe, since people will be using them to cope with the bad times (even if they can't afford them).
