Ok...let me put it another way. By confronting other people's self-disrespect you invariably show them what they are doing to themselves and to THEM this is known and felt as "Love". By neglecting their attacks or ignoring their self-disrespect you disrespect yourselves and they see this as disgusting. But than again, you would actually have to communicate and cooperate with people to understand this point of view.
