Why do you assume that intelligence must be correspondent with monetary wealth? Where did that assumption of yours come from?
What it takes to collect together money in this society is a massive offense to my morals. Basically put, rich people are vicious swine and I want nothing to do with them or their methods.
If you find that you can attain wealth while remaining a person I'd hang around, then good for you. However, I doubt that that's the case. The people with money are uniformly disgusting creatures who would cheat anyone for a dollar. I don't hang around the lower-caste criminals, and as well neither the higher-caste ones. One steals with a gun, and the other steals with a pen.
Both are thieves.
