Who do you think came to power with the most support of there people?

Hitler?
Stalin?
Mussolini?

from my readings, Mussolini had a lot of support of the Italian people. He gained a lot of momentum from working as a newspaper columnist.

They got support from the people that matterred, not "the people". Stalin and Mussolini gained support from the thugs who had obtained positions of military power during their country's respective periods of instability. Hitler gained support from the army due to his policy of ignoring the versailles treaty but they did not have much political power, he had set up his own army of thugs, the brown and black shirts, drawn mainly from those disenfranchised by the great depression.

We need a new leader who is bold, charismatic, and wins the support of the people

Yeah, and Hitler didn't have his group of thugs?

Besides, Stalin's ascension to power was far different than that of Mussolini, Stalin basically had control over the infulential people on the Communist party, and basically cashed in the success of lenin - he didn't have people like brown shirts or the SA around.

Don't change these.
