My View of Libertarians

Name: TOKKA 2007-12-23 4:00

They are selfish. The politics they preach is about personal ownership of everything to the point where they say F*$# the rest of the society. The people I meet who are Libertarians tends to be the most selfish and asinine people I have meet too. Many of time I have heard the same Social Darwinistic rants from them saying health care for the rich should be better because they are are better people. The destruction of organizations that try to at least make some sense of equal stability in education, currency, and foreign exchange seems to be their goal. They believe in fifty years via Abiogenesis a better system will arise but in the mean time screw the generations lost in the destruction of the education system. I just see them as being the ones who wish to be rich and not take care of their fellow man because avarice is the secret behind their political views.

I have come to view I have a very Democratic Socialist slant to my poltical view points and believe helping the people with the least in your society makes your life better. I don't mind High taxes if I had a universal health care that would protect me and assure me the same quality of health care they have in the UK, France, or Canada and not have to stay in a job that caused health problems because thats the only one that I could get insurance from to help pay for my medications I need to live. I wouldn't mind those taxes if I knew it was being used to promote free and open technologies to be used in schools like they do in hawaii because of how little money they have but are able to surpass the federal requirements because they use older machines with open source software. I wouldn't mind paying higher taxes knowing that I could go to all 4 years of university, grad school studies with out the feeling of dread when i look at my compounding debt in out Debt based econemy. I wouldn't mind just knowing that more money went to pay for better public television and radio. I'm for personal freedom but I understand that i must give some of my figurative "blood" in order to keep that freedom equal for everyone.

I feel Libertarians could give a shit about others and would rather save themselves then try to help kids from a burning building. Thats just my viewpoint from the libertarian rallies i have been too as well as former friends I had had who became to intensely libertarian

I think my definition of Libertarian is different from yours because your point of view on health care and Government sounds very familiar and correct to me.

FYI: All I've heard from Canadian media about our publicly founded health care system is that it is not affective and our Government can't afford to improve it.

"people die before getting the treatment needed" the Canadian news... And a lot of Canadian politicians push for a private (for profit) alternative health care system.

After the Canadian government allows private for profit health care they will let our public health care system degrade even more and then they'll turf it and the Canadians will be in the same predicament as U.S.A.

In the end it comes down to the fact that Big industry leaders donate huge sums of money to Canadian politicians. And so big industry is in the politicians eyes more important than the individual citizens who donate the little money that they can.

And that is one of the diseases that is causing our society to become apathetic. One prime minister is the same as the last it makes no difference which get voted in anymore. They take take take and give it to industries whom are not concerned with ethics.

I don't know what to say other than I vote for the guy who seams to be the lesser of evil but in the end the only benefit is I don't loose my right to vote. I think Canadian Voter apathy was said to be around 60%.

speaking of Wealthy people I heard a rumor that a lot of big name actors from Holly Wood go to India for medical care? if that is true it's like Canada's upper middle class who goes to the U.S. for health care. The media here is always interviewing them and telling every one how we have to allow private health care.

they go for the reasonably priced healthcare from doctors who went to the same med schools as american doctors.  the US healthcare system is a big steaming pile of shit.

Don't change these.
