Hi people, I have a dilemma. I am 16yo and my parents are ignorant of me being not a christian, so I would have to go to church every saturday. I would have to lie to them to tell them that I have gone to church when actually I have sneaked away to a nearby library type this. Any tips on how to manage this situation? Any kind of tips would be appreciated.

• "Star of Bethlehem" - No record of such a celestial event outside the Gospel of
Matthew.
• Roman census in Jesus birth story – No record of any census that matches this
description.
• "Massacre of the Innocents" - No record of this event outside the Gospel of
Matthew.
• John the Baptist – Killed early in the Gospels, died in 36 CE according to
Josephus.
• Death of Jesus – Accompanied by blackout of sun, earthquakes, and raising of the
dead in the Gospels, no record of this by others.
There is not one single writing from or about Jesus during his supposed lifetime
Philo, a prolific Jewish writer who lived from 20 BCE to 50 CE, wrote extensively
about the political and theological movements throughout the Mediterranean, and
his views foreshadowed Christian theology, yet he never once wrote anything about
Jesus. Not only this, but he actually wrote about political conflicts between the Jews
and Pontius Pilate in Judea

There was a conjunction between Saturn and Jupiter in 6 BC. They were seperated from each other but common folk at the time could have construed it as one star. Don't forget Jesus' dad was a carpenter and Mary was like 15 or something.

Why is it considered a good thing that jesus let himself be killed without trying to escape or fight back?? his death did nothing to help anyone. You may say he "died for our sins" but what does that even mean?? other than to promote an idea of death-worship and negating the actual world that exists in favor of the afterlife?? it's the essence of anti-humanism, so don't tell me christians are humanist, the two ideas are directly opposed.

If Jesus fled Jerusalem the Jewish priests would have cracked down on his followers instead, he offerred himself up so that his disciples were not hunted down and killed.

Yeshua Hamashea, not sure how to spell it. Also, Jesus was a short, brown Jew.
Jesus of Bethlehem, they obviously didn't have last names back then. He later was known as "Jesus known as Christ". I don't know if it was actually Jesus. I thought this but I could see it being something else like yeshuwa or whatever dude said it was. Also, I'm not christian. I mean I believe in God, the same one christians believe in, but I don't believe jesus was his son, at least not any more than I am, considering I call him father, so in that sense, yeah I would call Jesus the son of The God I serve, but not the actual son like all of these christians believe, nor do I think the bible is 100% the word of God. The bible was wrote by man, and man sins. We're corrupt, for the most part. I don't know it's not the word of God, but I could see just like today things like money, land, and power being a far more important motive to write things and say it's the word of God. Don't get me wrong it's a great book with a lot of good morals, but so is "Of Mice and Men" and "Touching Spirit Bear" However, I do see inevitably it having some facts of that time in it. Therefore, I like to intertwine science with christianity. (yeah I know people say you can't agree with both but you can, think about it) If you look at where Jerusalem was located it was in the middle east, right beside Africa. Over in that climate, your skin tans to adjust so as to protect the body better, therefore creating blacks, but that's another discussion, my point is if that's where Jesus is from, then of course he wouldn't be prone to the hot sun, so of course he would have been very tan. This is one reason why I don't believe the Bible is the word of God, because obviously Jesus was not white, so it leads me to think that their are other parts of the bible that is not correct, or has been changed or altered over the years.
Jesus walking on water is another thing I think was a misconception. Back then there technology was not where it is now, but there were people that knew of things that others did not, therefore people believed they were magicians. I don't think Jesus was far from this. I'm not sure how, and that's if, he walked on water, but if he did, it was probably slight of hand, or the density was enough to support his small body right at that moment, or some other way that could be supported through logic. However, past science, I do believe anything is possible for those that believe and follow and do all of God's will. It's kind of the best of both worlds.
Jesus was a name given to mar by god. the word christ was added by he greeks. If Op was trying to troll he did it wrong by addressing jesus by his name not his title.
also jesus was judean. the modern images of him come from the depictions of zeus...once again by the greeks.
Surnames have only become commonly relatively recently. Still he probably would have been Jesus son of Joseph of Nazareth.
Or something like: Yeshua bin Yosef al Nazareth
