The two party system

Name: Anonymous 2007-12-03 17:35

Ron Paul is a danger to the two party system. Not by running as a third party candidate. He can't win that way. But by running as an infiltrator within the republican party, he shows younger, perhaps more idealistic, voters that you do not have to be in lock step with your party's current stated stances on specific issues. Hell, you don't even have to be close.

Are you suggesting that multiparty systems suck cocks?

Good, we need a less rigid political system - The current one crushes any outside ideas and only serves to polarize the non-issues the two parties may disagree on such as abortion, gay marriage, the death penalty & global warming.
Republicans & Democrats are both swine for being so cowed into party lines - Fuck the system and those who support it.

Also, Mexico just sucks. I don't think you can pin Mexico's utter fail on any one problem.

i think hes saying "many parties" instead of "multiparty"

The two party system is a disgusting farce that only leads to "us versus them" thinking.  The majority of people are ignorant fucks because they decide they'll just vote for their party without carefully considering who the candidate actually is.  "Oh well, as long as they're not a (democrat/republican) it'll be ok, durrrr durrrr, I can't wait to see more dat American Idol, I gots ta vote for (artificially attractive talentless hack 249)."

If our country voted for people instead of parties we would be in a lot better shape right now.

Is the US ACTUALLY a 2 party system though? or is it that the Donkeys and Elephants have all the power? In Canada, it was basically a 2 party system until Tommy Douglas and the NDP gained prominence in the West, then the NDP and other parties rose up to create the multiparty system we have today.

And on the 'US vs THEM' thinking, so what? i.e. anyone the republicans have will be better than Hilary Clinton or Barack Obama. Besides, the silent majority that votes would never allow a woman or a black man to become president anyway.

Personally I prefer the stick vegetables up your ass and jerk off system.

Yes I agree, the SVUYAAJOS is superior in all aspects except for the varying time it takes for politicians to complete their activity before carrying on with their duties but this is negligible compared to it's benefits.

I wish we had listened to George Washington, he had warned us about having ANY political parties in the first place.
None = win.

Don't change these.
