Father Arrested in England

lol, so this guy hears a noise at the window of his house at 10:30pm, so he goes out and finds this guy outside... the homeowner then holds the guy at his place until the cops arrive, and gets arrested for it. 

The cops say the guy he held until they arrived had a "fat lip", and this was the justification for putting the father in jail.  The father in question was a recent case of a string of a string of people who have been arrested in England for trying to defend their homes, families, and property.  So, the question for newpol:  is this libfaggotry, or was the government being reasonable?

No, it means a bust lip, as though he had been punched in the mouth. It's not even clear if what happened was on the mans property or not. If it was then I agree that the police should not have arrested him.

Unfortunately this kind of shit happens all too often, even in the States.  I recall there was one incident where a burglar broke into a house, tripped on the stairs and broke his leg, and then sued the owners and ended up winning.  Fucking retarded.

Yeah.  Fortunately though, many states in the USA have passed and many more are considering passing laws like the Castle Doctrine, which, depending upon what kind they pass, tend to protect people's right to defense, protects them from getting sued by burglars and things, etc.
