Russia still has the second strongest military in the world and could obliterate Mexico at any second. Russia has a greater economy, greater history, made greater contributions to to science, technology, music. It was a world superpower not long ago. They sent the first fucking man into space. let's talk about the cinema of the respective countries. I myself am a fan of several mexican directors and films released in the past few years, but the new russian cinema is certainly something that's making noise.

russian society seems quite patriarchal and I think it would be beneficial if they moved towards equality like the scandinavian countries.

Also Russia has been perfectly equal since 1917 and perfectly meritocratic since 1991, it just seems patriarchical because they select the top 0.1% of their society to act as leaders and because men have a greater range of genetic diversity they have a greater range of intelligence meaning that although the bottom 0.1% consists almost entirely of men, the top 0.1% consists almost entirely of men.
