Cultural movements and idiots

Soulja Boy is the number one song in the country.

Could an argument be made that the people that like this song in particular and the culture behind it is fucking retarded? My friend says that it's an opinion and it can't be wrong. I say it's apart of a low-life low-intellectual culture that is on average that is in generally stupid, uneducated, and  prone to like stupidity.

Any thoughts? He says that it's stereotyping and it's bad. I on the other hand think some type of stereotyping is healthy, like statistical analysis.

well, it's lowering expectations, if everybody thinks stupidity is completely normal, intellegent people will seem all the more intellegent, and it will be easier to pick them out and raise them to the upper class where they might benefit society, which stupid people can't do at all.
