I am
against privatizing the whole education system for one reason: we don't need to give people excuses not to send their children to school.
Any country that raises barriers to education will be out-competed by countries they didn't within a couple decades. This isn't the 1800s anymore; an educated and skilled workforce is critical.
Besides, the public education system in other countries isn't as endemically stupid as the US. I don't know what's going on over there, but it's not because it's public. There are other factors at play.
I support the freedom to send your children to whichever school you please though. If that just happens to be a private school, so be it.
