Men just have it easier

I was just thinking about some gender related topics and it occurred to me that even though it's 2007 and we've come a long way, women are still kind of disadvantaged when it comes to requirements and qualities.

Here's a list of qualities that make men attractive:
-good looks
-being funny
-being rich
-having a powerful job
-being thoughtful/considerate
-being in a band
-education

and a list of qualities that make women attractive:
-good looks
-a  serviceable personality
-a functional brain
...

Ok, ok, i'm exaggerating..

But still, the requirements for women today are skewed towards looks. When women size men up, they might consider several factors, whereas men just assess physical attributes. The point i'm making is that men have  options to improve their worthiness (superficial or not) - sad but true.

And, anecdotally, how many times have we heard of amazing women who stick with unremarkable men because they are funny or treat them well, but never the converse? How many times have we heard of men who will put up with cruel women just because they are hot?

Well I thought i'd just put that out there as food for discussion.

i don't think what you listed is so much a problem of society as it is a problem of nature and roles assigned in evolution

How is it easier for men? Do you have ANY idea how hard it is to find a girl where I live with an IQ above double digits? Plus men have to meet all those criteria, women just have to be good for something.

A band? Does Guitar Hero count?

The world would be a better place if everyone was in a band.

Woman are far too fussy, and shallow. Its a 100 times more easy to be a woman.

And if they don't have brains and are too damn ugly to get anyone to let them put out they act like camwhores on /b/ where they get laughed at and insulted until they cry and kill themselves.

At least I hope that last part happens.

Men are superior to women. Maybe they should give them some money to make up for the disparity.
