Conservatives want to attack Iran. Attacking Iran ignores the history of the mid-east, places Israel on a pedestal of American blood and would lessen the place of the US in the world. Therefore, Conservatives would make the US weaker.

80 million odd Iranians. Iraq would be uncontrollable and while you would win that war the paramilitary activity in occupied iran would be enormous, the US is incable of managing occupations these days...

They'll just use the CIA to assassinate leaders and encourage rebellion. An actual invasion isn't really necessary if you just want to destroy the country and rob its people of hope.
